Holy Molly, my aunt Lucile was right, why did I bother to bring my runners when I would be walking the town just to see things! Claude and I have walked, and this is a rough estimate, at least 30kms for sure.
Our morning started at 0830 and we were home by 7pm. Here's how our day went:
We made our way to the Cathedral of Notre Dame and caught the end of mass---Amen! We perused La Seine and did you know that Parisians are very fit and that many people run here in the morning. We bumped into Le Louvre and continued onto Les Jardins des Tuileries (where I took a special picture, for my aunt Lucile, featuring strong, shapely, AND lovely backsides), then we happen to stumble upon a gathering of Ferraries. We continued onto Le Pont Alexandre III and toured the property of Les Invalides.
We took a walk break in Cambrone for Un Dejeuner in a nice restaurant where we enjoyed some savoury quiche and salad and wine of coarse. Finally we reached our destination and we were able to crank our heads back and take the view of the entire Eiffel Tower, need I say Claude was in his glory. We did also make our way to L'Arc de Triomphe.
Oh the pressure! We are charging up Claude's camera battery so this computer is low on battery and I want to send pictures of today.
So here comes the pictures.
A huge hug and hello to Mom, Dad, Etienne, Momo & Doug, and thanks Jeremiah for your little note.
