Getting Started

Blogging---this is a first for me---a little piece space on the net to connect with family and friends while we are away with our travels.
But for now, it is an opportunity to practice using this site and to get started on this 'journaling' in preparation for the trip.
Aviva and I are nearly 2 weeks away from leaving for Venice and Claude has a month and a bit before he joins me somewhere in France.
I tell you, it all still seems quite surreal, yet the 50Litre backpack is on my living room floor awaiting to be packed and my travel books are strewn about my place like confetti!
Oh it's real and it's coming and I can't wait.
